The Quaboag Regional Cougars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 62-46 bruising from Oxford. Quaboag Regional was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Oxford apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Brady Marqoupis continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Oxford, scoring 23 points. Another player making a difference was Kofi Owusu, who scored 15 points.
Quaboag Regional bumped their record down to 3-5 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Oxford, their win bumped their record up to 5-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Quaboag Regional will take on Leicester at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Leicester has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 21. As for Oxford, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Prouty at 6:30 p.m. on January 22nd. Prouty is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.
