The Atholton Raiders had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They secured a 45-40 W over St. Mary's on Saturday. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Atholton has scored all year.
It was another big night for Camden Thibeault, who scored 18 points along with four steals. Thibeault is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Amir Shaheed, who scored seven points.
Atholton's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for St. Mary's, they have fallen quite a ways from their 24-8 record last season and are now at 0-5.
Atholton and South River will round out the year against one another at 11:45 p.m. on Tuesday at. One thing working in South River's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. St. Mary's will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Severn School at 5:30 p.m. on January 3, 2024.
