The Apex Cougars can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They managed a 47-43 victory over Cary. This was payback for Apex, who suffered a 33-26 loss the last time these two teams met.
Leading Apex to victory were Isabella Pease and Destiny Richardson. Pease dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds, while Richardson dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Hannah Jerkins, who scored six points along with seven rebounds.
Apex's victory bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Cary, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-11.
Apex will take on the Catamounts at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Panther Creek will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak. As for Cary, they will head out on the road to challenge the Gators at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Green Level focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up six on Tuesday.
