This season hasn't been kind to the Marceline Tigers, who are still winless after their 13th matchup. They were dealt a 80-29 loss at the hands of Westran on Thursday. Marceline has struggled against the Hornets recently, as their match on Thursday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Westran to victory, but perhaps none more so than Marshall Kitchen, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 rebounds. Kitchen is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Trent Brandow was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
Marceline's loss was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Westran, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-6.
Marceline will head out on the road to challenge the Panthers on Tuesday. As for Westran, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Milan focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 last Tuesday.
