Tuloso-Midway are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Jones on Thursday at 7:30 PM. After both teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one of them is set up to suffer a discouraging change of fortune.
Tuloso-Midway ran circles around Carroll last week, and the extra yardage (283 yards vs. -0.9 yards) paid off. Tuloso-Midway took their contest against Carroll by a conclusive 28-7 score. Senior Benjamyn Hovda, who picked up 103 yards on the ground and accumulated 116 passing yards, was a major factor in Tuloso-Midway's success.
Meanwhile, everything went Jones' way against Orange Grove as they made off with a 48-24 victory. The success made it back-to-back wins for Jones.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 2-0. With both Jones and Tuloso-Midway swaggering in after impressive performances, it will be interesting to see which team steps up to teach the other some humility.
