Basketball Recap: Spoto's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Spoto entered their tilt with Durant on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They managed a 53-49 victory over the Durant Cougars. For the Spartans, this counts as revenge for the 72-42 win the Cougars walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

Several Cougars players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Niko Sosa, who posted 12 points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Steven Russell, who went 5 of 7 on his way to 11 points.

The victory got Spoto back to even at 6-6. As for Durant, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.
