Kennard can attribute much of their success to De Vant'E Toliver, who went 9 for 18 en route to 24 points plus six assists and five rebounds, and Deuce Harrell, who went 10 for 15 en route to 24 points plus seven rebounds. Toliver is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. Demari Toliver was another key player, earning nine points along with two blocks.
Meanwhile, Normangee strolled past Slocum with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 63-46. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.
Kennard's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Normangee, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
Kennard was able to grind out a solid win over Normangee in their previous meeting back in December of 2021, winning 49-42. The rematch might be a little tougher for Kennard since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
