Jordan Williams Has Career-Day on Friday
Starting off the list is Ord's Jordan Williams, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Friday Williams rushed for 177 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 9.8 yards per carry, and also threw for 130 yards and a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games.
For the year, Williams has thrown 12 touchdowns while averaging 114.8 passing yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after eight games last season, he had one rushing touchdown. This year he is already up to nine.

BENES Came Up Big in Boone Central's 28-21 Win
BROGAN BENES was instrumental in extending Boone Central's winning streak to five on Friday. Nobody could stop BENES as he rushed for 231 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.5 yards per carry, and also picked up 32 receiving yards. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 80-yard run.
On the season, BENES has thrown 1 touchdown (and no picks) while averaging 14.2 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had two rushing touchdowns. This year he is already up to ten.

Gage Sack Turns in Season-Best Performance
On Friday, St. Paul got the W thanks in part to Gage Sack playing the best football he has all season. Sack rushed for 64 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries, and also picked up 75 receiving yards and a touchdown. The effort marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in October of 2023. His longest reception was for an incredible 75 yards.
With the win, St. Paul broke their nine-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-7. Sack and St. Paul will welcome Grand Island Central Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Tyion Francis Sets Career High in Rushing Yards
On Friday, Cross County had to settle for second even though Tyion Francis put up the best numbers he has all season. Francis rushed for 81 yards and a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an incredible 75 yards.
Cross County's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-5. Francis and Cross County will face off against Centura at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Grand Island Central Catholic Gets a Boost from Sack in 28-21 Defeat
Rounding off our Top Five is Grayson Sack of Grand Island Central Catholic. Sack threw for 177 yards and three touchdowns.
Grand Island Central Catholic moved to 6-2 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak. Sack and Grand Island Central Catholic will head out to face off against St. Paul at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
