The West Washington Senators will head out on the road to square off against the Borden Braves at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Last Thursday, it was a hard-fought matchup, but West Washington had to settle for a 55-53 defeat against the Wolfpack.
Meanwhile, Borden was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap last Saturday as they fell 55-51 to the Warriors. While losing is never fun, Borden can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 201st, while the Warriors are ranked 98th).
West Washington's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-10. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.7 points per game. As for Borden, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-7 record this season.
West Washington came up short against the Braves in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 48-38. Can West Washington avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
