The Millwood Bobcats were the 70-33 winner over the Guardian Christian Academy Royal Knights when they last played one another back in February of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. Millwood suffered a rough 59-37 defeat at the hands of Guardian Christian Academy on Monday. Millwood was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-15.
Guardian Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tierre Brown led the charge by dropping a double-double on 12 points and 11 steals. The match was Brown's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Aaron Kuhn, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 10 rebounds.
Millwood's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Guardian Christian Academy, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Millwood will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Guardian Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on February 6, 2024. As for Guardian Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Amelia Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
