Even though West Shore Christian Academy have not done well against the Mount Calvary Christian Chargers recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. West Shore Christian Academy came out on top in a nail-biter against Mount Calvary Christian and snuck past 43-41. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win West Shore Christian Academy has posted yet this season.
Several Chargers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Josiah Masters, who scored 14 points along with four steals. Zach Witmer was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with two steals.
West Shore Christian Academy now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Mount Calvary Christian, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Shore Christian Academy will take on New Covenant Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Mount Calvary Christian, they will head out on the road to square off against Veritas Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
