Georgetown suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a rough 75-43 loss at the hands of Dillon. Georgetown was down 57-26 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Despite the defeat, Georgetown saw an underclassman step up: Trenton Parker scored 13 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ean Mitchell, who scored eight points.
Waccamaw dropped their record down to 5-14 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Georgetown, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-11.
Friday's game is shaping up to be a scrappy matchup: Waccamaw have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 29.9 rebounds per game. It's a different story for Georgetown, though, as they've been averaging only 11.4 rebounds per game. Given Waccamaw's sizeable advantage in that area, Georgetown will need to find a way to close that gap.
