Guadalupe Centers lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Junior Ibarra, who scored six points. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Gonzalez Mendoza, who scored six points.
Leading Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy to victory were Riley Ellis and Teddy Zitron. Ellis scored 23 points, while Zitron scored 25 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Ellis has scored at least a third of Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy's points.
Guadalupe Centers dropped their record down to 1-9 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-5.
