The Bell Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Carson Colts at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Bell's pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so Carson's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
On Thursday, it was close, but Bell sidestepped Legacy for a 4-3 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Eagles have posted against the Tigers since April 22, 2022.
Manuel Pasillas looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Nomar Solis, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jesse Anguiano, who earned one RBI and two runs.
Meanwhile, Carson came tearing into Wednesday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Gauchos. With that win, the Colts brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.
Joziah Agredano made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Carson's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is undefeated (and 11-13 when he doesn't).
In other batting news, Juno Carillo was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. He has become a key player for Carson: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 8-13 otherwise. Xavier Allen also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.
Carson kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive contests.
Carson pushed their record up to 14-13 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Bell, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-8.
Bell couldn't quite get it done against Carson in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 as they fell 5-1. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
