Cascade had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They skirted past the Indian Creek Braves  21-18.  Cascade was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 232  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 193  rushing yards in seven consecutive  contests  dating back to last season.
 Cascade wouldn't let Indian Creek keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles.  Timothy Turner Jr was the leader in that area as all came courtesy of his dominant performance. His also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D,  forcing two fumbles, making seven total tackles, and defending a pass.
 Despite the  loss, Indian Creek saw an underclassman step up:  Evan Clark threw for 163 yards and two touchdowns. Indian Creek also got a significant boost from  Malachi Mink, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 103 yards.
 Cascade will look to defend their home field  on Saturday against North Montgomery  at 10:00  a.m. As for Indian Creek, they are headed away from home for the first time to  face off against  Greenwood  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
