The Manchester Red Hawks will be playing at home against the Avon Falcons at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Manchester's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four matches.
Even though South Windsor scored an imposing 57 points on Tuesday, Manchester still came out on top. Manchester enjoyed a cozy 73-57 victory over the Bobcats.
It was another big night for Elise Ryan, who went 7 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 26 points and 4 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Aaliyah Lawrence, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Avon, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 46-29 loss to the Blue Knights on Tuesday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Avon in their matchups with the Blue Knights: they've now lost seven in a row.
Manchester's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Avon, they now have a losing record at 7-8.
Manchester might still be hurting after the 49-29 defeat they got from the Falcons in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Can Manchester avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
