The North Harrison Cougars were the 56-35 winner over the Madison Cubs when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. North Harrison fell 67-59 to Madison on Saturday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Madison's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Quincy Reynolds led the charge by scoring 23 points. Another player making a difference was Landon True, who scored 17 points.
North Harrison's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Madison, their win bumped their record up to 5-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Harrison will square off against Charlestown at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Charlestown presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than North Harrison in Indiana (Charlestown is ranked 145th, while North Harrison is ranked 387th). As for Madison, they will head out on the road to face off against Seymour at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
