The Meadowbrook Colts will face off against the Monroe Central Seminoles at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Meadowbrook's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last four games.
Meadowbrook lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Cambridge, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's matchup. The Colts put the hurt on the Bobcats with a sharp 13-2 win on Monday. The Colts might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 contests by seven runs or more this season.
Addy Sichina made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, Sommer Ginn was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Addie Schultice, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Meadowbrook kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cambridge only managed five.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Monroe Central, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out Frontier 5-4 on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Seminoles have posted since April 6th.
Meadowbrook has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Monroe Central, their victory bumped their record up to 18-5.
Meadowbrook got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in March of 2025 against Monroe Central by a conclusive 16-0 score. Do the Colts have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Seminoles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
