Sandpoint hasn't had much luck against Lakeland recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will venture away from home to take on the Hawks at 7:00 p.m. Sandpoint will be strutting in after a victory while Lakeland will be coming in after a loss.
Sandpoint won the last time they faced Moscow and Averi Mire did her part to make sure it happened again. The Bulldogs narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Bears 3-2 thanks in part to Mire, who had 36 assists and 18 digs. She has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more assists the last four times she's played.
It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Sandpoint got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-21, 21-25, 25-17, 21-25, 15-11.

Meanwhile, Lakeland came up short against Lewiston on Thursday, falling 3-0.

Lakeland's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Sandpoint, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-6.
Everything went Sandpoint's way against Lakeland when the teams last played back in September, as Sandpoint made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
