They took a 65-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of Concord Academy. SouthLake Christian Academy has not had much luck with Concord Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
It was another big night for Sean Birmingham, who shot 6-for-9 from downtown and dropped a double-double on 30 points and 11 rebounds for Concord Academy. That makes it two consecutive games in which Birmingham has scored at least 25% of Concord Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ian Howard, who scored 14 points along with 6 rebounds.
SouthLake Christian Academy has yet to win a game on the road this season, leaving them with a 7-3 record. As for Concord Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.
SouthLake Christian Academy will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Westminster Catawba Christian at 7:00 p.m. As for Concord Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Asheville Christian Academy at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
