The Mountain View Mavericks were the 50-29 winner over the Centennial Patriots when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Mountain View took a 48-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Centennial on Tuesday. Mountain View has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Mountain View saw an underclassman step up: Quincy Keller scored 19 points along with 3 steals. Keller scored a full 51.4% of Mountain View's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Harper Hatfield, who scored 8 points.
Mountain View's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Centennial, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Mountain View will be playing at home against Boise at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Boise is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Centennial, they will challenge Rigby at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Rigby has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 280 points over their last four games.
