The Neshannock Lancers are taking a road trip to face off against the Harbor Creek Huskies at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Neshannock comes in on 42 and Harbor Creek on seven.
On Thursday, Neshannock got the win against Armstrong by a conclusive 9-3. The result was nothing new for the Lancers, who have now won 13 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Addy Frye made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 17 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off eight hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also big at the plate, firing off two home runs and one double while going 3-for-3.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Gabby Quinn, who fired off two home runs and three RBI while going 4-for-4. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Payton Newman was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs.
Neshannock kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in nine consecutive matches.
Harbor Creek came out on top against Erie on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run third inning. The Huskies never let the Royals get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. The Huskies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by ten runs or more this season.
Harbor Creek got a massive performance out of Kayla Bresee, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Mariah Anderson also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Neshannock's victory was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-0. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.9 runs on average over those games. As for Harbor Creek, their record now sits at 10-4.
Neshannock's speedy runners might be the difference in Friday's contest. The Lancers have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.9 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Harbor Creek, though, as they've been averaging only 1.1 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Neshannock continue to outrun the ball?
Neshannock came out on top in a nail-biter against Harbor Creek when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lancers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
