Kade Ashton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jack Moore, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three doubles, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Peoria, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They came out on top against Cactus by a score of 10-6 on Monday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Panthers' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.
Diego Zamora made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out ten batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, Peoria got a massive performance out of Skyler Welch, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. That run was Welch's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Brady Leiby, who scored two runs while going 3-for-5.
Peoria always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .579. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Peoria's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Paradise Honors has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.8 hits per game. It's a different story for Peoria, though, as they've been averaging 9.2 hits. Given Paradise Honors' sizable advantage in that area, Peoria will need to find a way to close that gap.
Paradise Honors took their victory against Peoria in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 11-0 score. Will Paradise Honors repeat their success, or does Peoria has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
