After a string of three wins, the Balko Bison's's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They were outmatched by Arnett on the road and fell 68-34. While losing is never fun, Balko can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 219th, while Arnett is ranked 58th).
Despite the loss, Balko still got an impressive performance from Emelie Trentham, who scored 17 points. The matchup was Trentham's third in a row with at least ten points.
Balko's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Arnett, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Balko and Laverne will face off on January 6th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
