The Madison Park Academy Trojan-Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their seventh straight loss. They suffered a tough 71-50 defeat at the hands of Leadership. The final score was a far cry from the score of their previous head-to-head, which saw the teams combine for a single point.
When it comes to explaining why Madison Park Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Darius Mason. Despite the final result, he scored 22 points. Mason scored a full 44% of Madison Park Academy's points, the seventh time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Kylon Ollie, who scored 12 points.
Madison Park Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Leadership, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Madison Park Academy will take on Varsity Opponent at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Leadership, they will be playing at home against KIPP King at 6:00 p.m. on January 18th. KIPP King is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
