The Bluff Dale Bobcats will head out on the road to square off against the Strawn Greyhounds at 6:00 p.m. Bluff Dale comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 14 points in their last four games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
Bluff Dale suffered their biggest defeat since December 12, 2023 on Tuesday. They were beaten by Huckabay 67-14. Bluff Dale has struggled against Huckabay recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Allie Morris was Bluff Dale's leading scorer, having posted four points.
Erin Clary held things down on the boards with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Strawn had to suffer through a rough 74-32 loss at the hands of Huckabay. While losing is never fun, Strawn can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1217th, while Huckabay is ranked 473rd).
Bluff Dale has not been sharp recently, as they've lost nine of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season. As for Strawn, their loss dropped their record down to 5-12.
Bluff Dale was taken down by Strawn 53-16 in their previous meeting on January 2nd. Can Bluff Dale avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
