In what's become a running theme this season, the Arizona Lutheran Academy Coyotes gave their fans yet another huge victory on Thursday. They really took it to Trivium Prep for the full four quarters, racking up a 97-22 win on the road. Arizona Lutheran Academy's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Arizona Lutheran Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Stephan Iron shell out in front who went 6 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 26 points and 2 assists. Iron shell continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Luis Guerrero was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with six assists and six steals.
Arizona Lutheran Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-2 record this season. As for Trivium Prep, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-16.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Arizona Lutheran Academy will take on Kingman Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kingman Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 252nd, while Arizona Lutheran Academy is ranked 43rd). As for Trivium Prep, Trivium Prep and NFL Yet Academy will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 18th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
