Fairfield is on a three-game streak of home losses, the Bulldogs a seven-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change. The Fairfield Falcons will take on the Attica Bulldogs at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Fairfield has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Fairfield pushed their score all the way to 56 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They suffered a tough 77-56 loss at the hands of Cunningham. While losing is never fun, Fairfield can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 297th, while the Wildcats are ranked 125th).
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought match, but Attica had to settle for a 35-32 defeat against the Chieftains on Tuesday.
Fairfield has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Attica, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-12.
Things could have been worse for Fairfield, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 60-43 loss to the Bulldogs in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Thankfully for Fairfield, Noah Loreg (who scored 22 points along with seven rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
