It was a good run, but The Snowflake Lobos unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They took a hard 27-10 fall against Eastmark. The low total for Snowflake limited their streak of high-flying scores to five in a row.
Brennan Bryant threw for 132 yards and a touchdown. Payton Papa was his top target, picking up 39 receiving yards and a touchdown. On the ground, Kanton Turley rushed for 85 yards.
Eastmark got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Coleman Samples out in front who rushed for 145 yards. Collin Minnaar made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Snowflake's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Eastmark, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Snowflake will face off against Apache Junction at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Apache Junction is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. As for Eastmark, they will head out on the road to face off against Marcos de Niza at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
