Monmouth United had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Monmouth-Roseville Titans as they made off with a 14-4 win. The result was nothing new for the Red Storm, who have now won nine contests by nine runs or more so far this season.

Chance Stewart and Egan Marshall did most of the damage at the plate: Stewart went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base, while Marshall got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, one double, and one RBI. What's more, Marshall posted two hits, the most he's had since back in March. Zeke Clark was another key player, earning two runs and three stolen bases.

Monmouth United always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .561. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Monmouth-Roseville only posted an OBP of .357.

Monmouth United's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 22-4. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Monmouth-Roseville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 13 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Monmouth United will square off against Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Monmouth-Roseville, they will take on Sherrard at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
