Bowman Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nickolas Black, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 14 rebounds. The contest was Black's eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Emmanuel Foley, who scored 10 points along with 6 assists and 5 rebounds.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Lake Station Edison, who are still winless after their fifth matchup. They fell 53-44 to Wheeler on Friday. The match was a 20-20 toss-up at halftime, but Lake Station Edison was outscored by Wheeler in the second.
Davon Jones put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 25 points along with 5 rebounds. He scored a full 56.8% of Lake Station Edison's points, the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Aidan Pridemore was another key contributor, scoring 7 points along with 6 rebounds.
Bowman Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Lake Station Edison, they have fallen quite a ways from their 22-4 record last season and are now at 0-5.
Keep an eye on the arc in Tuesday's contest: Bowman Academy have been dynamite from deep this season, having nailed 43.7% of their threes per game. It's a different story for Lake Station Edison, though, as they've only made 28% of theirs this season. Given Bowman Academy's sizeable advantage in that area, Lake Station Edison will need to find a way to close that gap.
