This season hasn't been kind to the Centennial Rams, who are still winless after their eighth game. They suffered a rough 41-16 defeat at the hands of Trinidad on Saturday. Centennial found out winning isn't easy when you don't work as a unit and post 11 fewer assists than your opponent.
Anai Medina was Centennial's leading scorer, having posted eight points.
Ana Duran held things down on the boards with nine rebounds. She took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with an assist.
Trinidad got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Danica Shipley out in front who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Maya Morales, who scored six points along with five rebounds.
Centennial's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 0-8. As for Trinidad, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-3.
Centennial and Antonito will face off at 5:00 p.m. on January 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Antonito is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Trinidad, they will head out on the road to take on Sargent at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sargent is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
