Reagan County narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Eagles 41-39. Given Reagan County's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 355th, while the Eagles are ranked 871st), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Reagan County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jarrett Brown, who scored 16 points along with two steals. Brown hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Kason Brown, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Reagan County is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 22-6 record this season. As for Eldorado, their loss dropped their record down to 17-12.
Reagan County will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lions at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Ozona is no doubt hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses. As for Eldorado, they will head out on the road to square off against the Buffaloes at 7:45 p.m. on Friday.
