The Strawberry Crest Chargers had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against East Bay by a score of 26-19 on Tuesday. The win was just what Strawberry Crest needed coming off of a 56-16 loss in their prior match.
It was another big night for Elektra Ribot, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jenna Tia, who scored ten points.
Strawberry Crest's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-11. As for East Bay, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-13.
Strawberry Crest will take on Gaither at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Strawberry Crest is coming into the match with three straight victories on the road, so Gaither is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum. As for East Bay, they will square off against Blake at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Blake has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
