Scott has been on the road for seven straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Bishop Brossart Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Scott knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six contests -- so hopefully Bishop Brossart likes a good challenge.
Scott posted their biggest victory since December 7, 2023 on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 74-36 win over Calvary Christian on the road. Given Scott's advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 122nd, while Calvary Christian is ranked 266th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Scott relied on the efforts of Dylan Giffen, who scored 16 points, and Connor Griffin, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds. Jon Evans was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Meanwhile, Bishop Brossart's recent rough patch got a bit rougher back in December of 2023 after their sixth straight loss. Their rough 65-41 defeat to Lincoln County might stick with them for a while. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Bishop Brossart has scored all season.
The win got Scott back to even at 9-9. As for Bishop Brossart, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 3-8.
Scott beat Bishop Brossart 69-57 in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Will Scott repeat their success, or does Bishop Brossart have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
