Boone has gone a perfect 10-0 against Cypress Creek recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Braves will challenge the Bears at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Boone is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Lake Nona with a sharp 13-0 win. The Braves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matches by seven runs or more this season.
Charltotte Tellez looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched.
On the hitting side, Ava Solberg was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Wolfgramm, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, Cypress Creek had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.6 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Tigers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bears have posted since March 4th.
Amanda Cintron made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up just one earned run off nine hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Alondra Lozada, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one double and one RBI.
Cypress Creek's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-4. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Boone, their record now sits at 13-10.
Boone skirted past Cypress Creek 4-2 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Will the Braves repeat their success, or do the Bears have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
