Fredericksburg Christian posted their biggest victory yet this season on Thursday. They breezed by Immanuel Christian on the road to the tune of 60-32. The win was just what Fredericksburg Christian needed coming off of a 70-34 loss in their prior game.
Fredericksburg Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Layna Thomas out in front who scored 16 points along with seven steals and six assists. Thomas is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Riley Thomas was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six steals and five rebounds.
Chelsea Academy dropped their record down to 7-5 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Fredericksburg Christian, their victory ended a eight-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-6.
