In what's become a running theme this season, the Edgewood Bulldogs gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They claimed a resounding 53-18 win over Lone Oak on the road. The win was nothing new for Edgewood as they're now sitting on three straight.
Edgewood's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Blair McPherson, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds and six steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which McPherson has scored at least a third of Edgewood's points. Another player making a difference was Kassidy Paul, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds.
Edgewood has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 22-8 record this season. As for Lone Oak, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-19.
Edgewood will be playing in front of their home fans against Chisum at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Chisum will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 672nd, while Edgewood is ranked 228th). As for Lone Oak, they will head out on the road to challenge Prairiland at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Prairiland is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home.
