The Lookout Valley Yellowjackets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their 13th straight defeat. They had to suffer through a rough 92-20 loss at the hands of Chattanooga Prep. Lookout Valley has not had much luck with Chattanooga Prep recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chattanooga Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Derrick Roberson, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and two blocks. Another player making a difference was Eli Gaines, who scored 16 points.
Lookout Valley's loss was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-19. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 29.6 points per game. As for Chattanooga Prep, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-6.
Lookout Valley won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Hixson at 6:00 p.m. on February 6th. Lookout Valley is facing Hixson at the right time seeing as Hixson is stuck on a 12-game losing streak. As for Chattanooga Prep, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against South Pittsburg at 6:00 p.m. on February 6th. Chattanooga Prep knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matchups -- so hopefully South Pittsburg likes a good challenge.
