The Teton Timberwolves will head out on the road to face off against the Homedale Trojans at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Teton sitting on three straight victories and Homedale on ten.
With a playoff game on the line, Teton rose to the challenge on Thursday. They walked away with a 41-28 victory over Buhl. Teton pushed the score to 35-14 by the end of the third, a deficit Buhl cut but never quite recovered from.
Thomas Heuseveldt was the offensive standout of the matchup as he picked up 130 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground. Jack Joyce and his 134 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Teton's win.
Meanwhile, Homedale can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They breezed by Snake River at home to the tune of 28-0.
Homedale's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Dillon Fine, who rushed for 84 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries, and Andrew Marston, who rushed for 154 yards and two touchdowns. Marston was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 54 yards.
Teton's win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Homedale, they pushed their record up to 10-0 with that victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Saturday's match: Teton has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 227.6 rushing yards per game.
