| 12/09/25 @ Lamar | 4 |
| 12/02/25 vs Lee Central | 4 |
McBee can attribute much of their success to Hayden Griggs, who made all 8 shots he took to post 18 points in addition to seven rebounds and three blocks, and Jailyn Melton, who went 5-for-8 on his way to 13 points and five assists. Griggs has been hot recently, having posted three or more blocks the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Mckinley Brigman, who posted six points.
Meanwhile, Governor's School for Science & Math got their first taste of in-conference action on Tuesday and they started things off strong. They put the hurt on Midlands STEM Charter with a sharp 49-29 win. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Eagles just coasted through the last quarter.
McBee better keep an eye on Connor Greene. He was instrumental in Governor's School for Science & Math's win, almost dropping a double-double with 19 points and nine boards. Thanks to that strong game, Greene now owns an excellent 50% shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Tommy Suchanek, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds.
McBee's record is now 5-1. As for Governor's School for Science & Math, their record now sits at 2-3.
This contest is shaping up to be a blowout: McBee has been crazy accurate this season, having made 53.9% of their field goals per game. It's a different story for Governor's School for Science & Math, though, as they've only made 26.9% of their shots this season. Given McBee's sizable advantage in that area, the Eagles will need to find a way to close that gap.
McBee skirted past Governor's School for Science & Math 2-0 in their previous matchup back in February. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
