The Sweetwater Mustangs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Liberty Patriots at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many goals in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.
Tuesday just wasn't the day for Sweetwater's offense. They were the victim of a tough 3-0 loss at the hands of Estacado on Tuesday. Sweetwater has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Liberty, on the other hand, haven't lost since January 11th and they too continued that trend. Their defense stepped up to hand Andrews a 1-0 shutout on Tuesday.
Sweetwater's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Liberty, the win got them back to even at 5-5-4.
