Lawrence Academy waltzed into their game on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 59-51 win over the Greenbrier Christian Academy Gators.

Lawrence Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Carter Hoggard, who posted 18 points and seven boards. Hoggard is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 17 or more in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Ben Woodard, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 13 rebounds.

Lawrence Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in four consecutive contests.

Greenbrier Christian Academy's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hayden Dunlow, who shot 67% from the field en route to 17 points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Schneider, who went 7-for-9 on his way to 15 points.

Lawrence Academy's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Greenbrier Christian Academy, they dropped their record down to 0-3 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Lawrence Academy will head out to square off against Pungo Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors will be up against the Raiders' rather soft defense (which has allowed 52.29 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Greenbrier Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Denbigh Baptist Christian at 7:00 p.m.
