Dontrell Mims Delivers Best Effort of Season
On Friday, Hoke County got the W thanks in part to Dontrell Mims playing the best football he has all season. Mims picked up 5.5 sacks and made ten total tackles.
Hoke County moved to 2-6 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak. Mims and Hoke County will head out to take on Union Pines at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Zymire Spencer Goes Supernova in Pinecrest Win
Zymire Spencer's rushing tear continued on Friday as he dropped his fifth-straight game with 127+ rushing yards dating back to last season. He rushed for 149 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 87-yard run.
Unfortunately for Lee County, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Spencer. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Spencer saw the Yellow Jackets), he rushed for 228 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.4 yards per carry.

Najm Posts Huge Game in 34-16 Victory
Keeping Spencer company is Chris Najm, a fellow Pinecrest player. He rushed for 122 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries.
Najm and Pinecrest will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Hoke County at 7:30 p.m. on October 25th. Najm will face off against Favor Anab, the Bucks' star running back. With so much talent on the field, fans are surely in for an exciting game. The only thing left to see is who brings home the W.

Sims Came Up Big in Southern Lee's 20-14 Loss
While Robert Sims delivered a dominant performance on Friday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Southern Lee. Sims was unstoppable, rushing for 61 yards and a touchdown, while also throwing for 101 yards and a touchdown.
Southern Lee is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5. Sims and Southern Lee will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Union Pines at 7:30 p.m. on October 25th.
