Issaquah is 8-2 against Bothell since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Eagles will face off against the Cougars at 10:00 a.m. Issaquah's pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so Bothell's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Issaquah heads in on the heels of a playoff contest on Monday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of North Creek. The Eagles' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last match, Bothell made sure to put some runs up on the board against Arlington on Thursday. The Cougars blew past the Eagles 10-2. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by seven runs or more this season.

Carson Herrick looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Wyatt Mickelberry, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Blake Skinner, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.

Bothell has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.5 runs over those games. As for Issaquah, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-9.

Issaquah skirted past Bothell 4-2 in their previous matchup on Saturday. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Cougars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
