The Cedarcrest Red Wolves will head out on the road to face off against the Bellevue Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Cedarcrest is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season.
Cedarcrest will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Friday, then bounced right back against Sammamish on Monday. The Red Wolves were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the RedHawks. The victory continues a trend for the Red Wolves in their matchups with the RedHawks: they've now won four in a row.
Lily Rafferty made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out 13 batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than ten strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2024.

Those two stolen bases gave Fiala a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Celeste Lyons, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Bellevue was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 21st straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 28-5 to Newport - Bellevue.
Bellevue saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carmen Aguado-Scheyer, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that Aguado-Scheyer hit this season. Nora Nielsen was another, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

Bellevue's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Cedarcrest has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .460. It's a different story for Bellevue, though, as they've only averaged .290. Will they be able to contain Cedarcrest's hitters?
Everything went Cedarcrest's way against Bellevue in their previous matchup back in March, as Cedarcrest made off with a 23-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Red Wolves since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
