Farmville Central hadn't done well against Greene Central recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Jaguars snuck past the Rams with a 29-23 victory. This was payback for the Jaguars, who suffered a 25-22 loss the last time these two teams met.

Despite the loss, Greene Central still got an impressive performance from Joshua Cetnar, who threw for 245 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 10.7 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 50 yards. The Rams also got a significant boost from Dejuan Cobb, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 80 yards.

Farmville Central's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Greene Central, they now also have a losing record of 4-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Farmville Central is set to face off against their familiar foe Ayden - Grifton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Greene Central will square off against rival Beddingfield at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for the Rams and six for the Bruins.
