Meanwhile, First Baptist School didn't have quite enough to beat Charleston Collegiate on Monday and fell 3-2. While the Hurricanes didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Sundevils 25-16 in the first set.
First Baptist School took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 16-25, 25-18, 22-25, 25-13, 15-7.
First Baptist School's loss dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Palmetto Christian Academy, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 18-8-2.
