Norte Vista's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hugo Morales, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 16 rebounds. Morales is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Carter Fulton, who scored 20 points along with 3 steals.
Bethel Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Norte Vista, their victory bumped their record up to 1-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bethel Christian will take on Redlands Adventist Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Redlands Adventist Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Bethel Christian likes a good challenge. As for Norte Vista, they will play host again and welcome California Military Institute, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
