Last Friday, everything came up roses for North Forsyth at home against Apalachee as the team secured a 42-13 victory. With North Forsyth ahead 28-7 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
North Forsyth can attribute much of their success to Elijah Seaney, who threw for 247 yards and four touchdowns. Walker Roberts was in the mix too, providing North Forsyth with two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Langston Hughes entered their tilt with Paulding County with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Langston Hughes blew past Paulding County, posting a 56-9 win on the road. Langston Hughes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won seven contests by 25 points or more this season.
Langston Hughes' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Carsyn Baker, who rushed for 100 yards and a touchdown on only five carries. Another player making a difference was Maurice Gleaton jr, who picked up 81 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
North Forsyth's win bumped their record up to 5-5. As for Langston Hughes, their win was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-2.
North Forsyth took a serious blow against Langston Hughes when the teams last played back in November of 2022, falling 77-16. Can North Forsyth avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
